Gandhi Square

  • Access to Gandhi Square is available via the M1 / M2 Highway via Rissik Street off-ramp, alternatively, Anderson Street off-ramp, when entering the city via Joe Slovo Drive, just off the M2 will also allow for easy access to the precinct.

  • Coming from Braamfontein, access via Nelson Mandela Bridge heading south on Ntemi Piliso Street, and then left on Marshall Street heading directly into the Precinct. 

​

  • The area is well serviced by various forms of public transport including Metrobus, taxi’s and the Rea Vaya, making it easy to get here from anywhere in Johannesburg.

​Directions from Ekurhuleni 

​

  • Take the N12 toward Johannesburg

  • Merge onto N3 Eastern Bypass/N12/N3        

  • Follow signs for M2/Johannesburg and merge onto Francois Oberholzer Fwy/M2

  • Exit onto Heidelberg Rd/M31 and continue straight to stay on Heidelberg Rd/M31

  • Continue to follow M31

  • Take the ramp onto Anderson St/R29 and continue towards Gandhi Square.

Directions from Soweto

  • Begin on the Golden Hwy/R553      

  • Merge onto N1/N12

  • Take the exit toward Johannesburg

  • Merge onto M1    

  • Take exit 10 on the right to merge onto Francois Oberholzer Fwy/M2 toward City

  • Take the Rissik Street exit toward M9/Johannesburg.

Directions from Pretoria 

 

  • Merge onto Ben Schoeman Fwy/N1 towards Johannesburg

  • Take exit 124A to merge onto Ben Schoeman Fwy/Pretoria Main Rd/N1 toward Midrand/Johannesburg

  • Continue onto M1

  • Take exit 10A to merge onto Francois Oberholzer Fwy/M2 toward Durban            

  • Take the Rissik Street exit toward M9/Johannesburg 

  • Gandhi Square will be on your right.
